How we clean your panels.

Ultra-pure water is a very effective cleaning agent. It also leaves no residue behind. Ultra-pure water has no dissolved solids, and therefore readily dissolves dirt and grease from the surfaces of solar panels. It also dries completely spot-free, leaving no marks behind. Ultra-pure water is a proven technology, and has been used for window cleaning for more than a decade to leave a spot-free, smear-free finish. Using water-fed poles, it's possible to clean to a distance of 80ft without the need for work-at-height or any special access equipment.

A soft-bristled brush is used to lightly lift the dirt from the panel, at the same time jets of ultra-pure water rinse the surface clean. Because the water is so pure, it dries naturally without leaving any marks behind unlike mains supplied tap water or chemical based cleaners. This will also prolong the need to clean as regular because chemical cleaners leave sticky polymers behind which will attract air born dirt. Using an Ultra Pure Water cleaning System, 200 square metres per hour may be cleaned effectively and efficiently from a minimal investment.

Pureclean Essex Services believes that companies which recommend panel cleaning 3 or 4 or more times a year are being a little excessive.

However, we do recommend at least one or two thorough cleans per year is the most cost effective way to maximise the benefits of your solar PV panel system.

The Advantage of Clean Solar Panels

Solar Panels are continually exposed to the elements. As a result of this they are subject to the build up of dirt and varying deposits by a variety of weather and environmental conditions. These residues add a layer of grime to the outside of the solar panels rendering them less efficient to the amount of sunlight they can absorb. That is why we’re here to help. Regular solar panel cleaning is required to maximise the power output of your entire system. After all, a solar panel system is a valuable investment, so it is obviously worth maintaining it so it operates to it's fullest potential.

On a sunny day solar panels produce more electricity than on a cloudy day. It therefore makes sense that if left un-cleaned, solar panels will produce much less electricity than they can produce if they are cleaned regularly. It is no good washing these panels with tap water and chemicals, particularly in the South of the U.K. where our water is notoriously 'hard'. 'Hard' water will leave mineral deposits on the panels in exactly the same way as it leaves scale on your bathroom taps and in your sink and toilet cistern, making the panels ability to operate effectively less efficient.

Only 100% de ionised purified water should be used to keep solar panels gleaming and giving their best electricity producing rates. By using pure water which has no minerals and no chemicals the water can only evaporate leaving nothing behind except a perfectly clean energy efficiant solar panel.

You have already made the worthwhile decision on ever increasing electricity costs by investing in solar panels for your home. You want the best possible return on your investment. Your solar panels are constantly exposed to the elements and our often inclement British seasons. Anything that moves through the air, including leaves and blossom from nearby trees, bird excrement, grime and dust particles can over time seriously decrease the output of your solar panels. Heavy snow can also leave harmful residue.

All of this can contribute to LOSING YOU MONEY.
